Fried Stew Yellow or Red Cabbage

1 small head cabbage, cut up
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 red onion
1 tablespoon flour
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons mild salsa
Salt and pepper

Brown onion in butter. Add the water. Add the shredded cabbage. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add salsa slowly, stirring occasionally using, a medium low heat, about 45 minutes until cabbage is tender. Add the vinegar and flour, bring to a boil and serve.

Makes 4-5 servings
